Centrally located in Gustavus on seven acres of homestead land carpeted in wild flowers, berries and soft moss is A Puffin's Bed and Breakfast operated by Chuck and Sandy Schroth. The Bed and Breakfast consists of 5 private cabins and a picturesque central lodge tucked among tall spruce and hemlock trees. All the cabins have private baths and electricity, microwave and refrigerator. Two cabins each have a full kitchen. Breakfast is served daily in the lodge where everyone's activity for that day is organized. Laundry facilities are available in a separate building. We also have a two-bedroom house located on two acres just down the road from the Puffin. Fishing poles and bikes are available to guests. Activities include just relaxing and hiking the surrounding area including the miles of sandy beaches or taking Glacier Bay tours, sea kayaking, fishing, and marine wildlife charters. All these activities and transportation from Juneau, Haines, Skagway and Sitka can be arranged by the Puffin.
